Jemima “Mima” Spence was the second child born to Henry Jefferson Spence and Mary Anna Ratliff. She was born in Crawford County, Kansas on October 1, 18881. “Jamima” is found living with her parents and siblings in Pittsburg, Crawford County, Kansas on the 1900 census2. 17 year old “Mime” is living with her family in Baker, Crawford, Kansas on the Kansas Census taken March 1, 19053.
A few months later, on August 17, 1905, Jemima Spence married Cyrus Andrew Cline4. Cyrus was born June 20, 1880 in Illinois5. Nearly a year later, on July 5, 1906 the couple welcomed their daughter, Ethel Louella Cline to the world6.

The young family is not found on the 1910 census, but is found in 1915 living in Baker, Crawford, Kansas8. The family is living in Humboldt, Neosho County, Kansas on September 12, 19189. On the 1920 census, the family is living in Big Creek, Neosho, Kansas with Jemima’s uncle, Benjamin F Ratliff, who is apparently a business partner with Cyrus10. On October 26, 1922 Mima Cline was granted a divorce from Cyrus Cline11.
By 1924 Jemima had married Amar Blazer12. Amar Elven Blazer was born July 4, 1884 in Kansas13. Amar and Mima are living with Ethel Cline in Chanute, Neosho, Kansas in 192514. Amar and Jemima spent the remainder of their years together in Chanute (193015, 194016, and 195317. Amar died in 1954 and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas18.
Mima is still living in Chanute as a widow in 195919. According to her tombstone, Mima remarried to a Mr. Wallace before her death in 196120.
