Norman married Augusta Deusner about April 18, 1910. Augusta was born February 15, 18893. The date of the couple’s marriage was determined by the fact that Augusta is reported twice in the 1910 census. On April 16th she is listed as single, living with her parents in Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana4. On April 20th she is listed as married, with Norman working as a coal miner, living with her grandmother in Henderson County, Kentucky5. Between 1912 and 1917 the couple had 4 children. The family is still living in Henderson County, Kentucky in 1920, and Norman is still working as a coal miner6. By 1930 the family moved to Hopkins County, Kentucky and Norman was still working as a coal miner7. Norman’s brother, Charles Wesley is living with the family according to the 1930 census. By 1940 Norman is working as a machine runner and both daughters are married and living with Norman and Augusta in Hopkins, Kentucky8.
Norman died June 4, 1960 in Sebree, Webster County, Kentucky and is buried in Madisonville, Hopkins County, Kentucky9. Augusta died February 1, 1972 in Madisonville, where she is buried next to Norman10.
