Much of the information I have on the Dobbins family comes from descendant Bobby Dobbins Title. In fact, she has written a wonderful essay about the history of the Dobbins family entitled Four Generations of Dobbinses.
This page is to honor the Corel Cousin Veterans. Female veterans are shown in bold red text. An * indicates that the veteran is not a descendant or spouse of a descendant of William and Rebecca Oney Corel, but an ancestor of a spouse who married a Corel Cousin.
I have been struggling for the past week on how to post this list of Corel Cousins Veterans. It may not be the prettiest list, but I am proud to say I am related to them all and I thank each and every one of them for their service to our country!
Nancy Maryland Corel was born March 27, 1834 in Tazewell County, Virginia. Somewhere in her very complicated life, Nancy adopted the nickname “Nannie”.
With a name like that, she deserves to have so much time taken on her page! She has an extra page, like James Pickens, crediting and showing a wonderful map I found online. I’m pretty sure I have the areas marked correctly, but I certainly hope that Bobby will let me know if I need to make any changes!
OK, I received an email from Mom, so I thought I should at least post a blog to let everyone know what’s going on!
